First, make sure to check different elements:
- Your device is compatible with eSIM
- Your device is carrier unlocked
- You have a stable connection, preferably Wi-Fi
Step 1: Get your QR code
After your purchase, you’ll receive your QR code via the confirmation email.
Step 2: Install your eSIM a few hours before your trip
- Use your camera to scan the QR code you received via email
- A screen showing your available eSIM will appear
- Click "Set Up" to continue
Step 3: Label your eSIM(optional)
Label your new eSIM.
This is optional, but it can make it easier to distinguish your travel eSIM from your personal SIM later.
Step 4: Activate your eSIM when you arrive at your destination
Once you arrive at your destination, follow these simple steps to activate your eSIM:
- Open Settings
- Go to Connections, Network & Internet, or SIM cards, depending on your device model
- Select your Orange Travel eSIM
- Turn on Use this SIM or Activate this line
- Turn on Mobile data for this eSIM
- If a message asks you to allow data roaming, tap Yes
- Make sure your Orange Travel eSIM is selected for mobile data
- You can also set your Orange Travel eSIM as your default voice line to avoid charges on your primary SIM
