Most eSIM-capable phones can store several eSIM profiles, often eight or more. What’s limited is how many you can use at the same time, usually one or two.
Stored vs active
- Stored means the eSIM sits on your phone, ready to use. You can keep profiles from several trips side by side.
- Active means the line is switched on and connected to a network.
On iPhone
Recent iPhones let you have two lines active at once: either two eSIMs, or one eSIM alongside your physical SIM.
On Google Pixel and other Android phones
Pixel and most recent Android phones let you use your Orange Travel eSIM alongside your physical SIM. Whether two eSIMs can be active at the same time depends on the model and the Android version.
This is what lets you keep your usual number for calls and texts while your Orange Travel eSIM handles your data.
Do I need to delete an old eSIM to install a new one?
No. There’s no need to remove a previous eSIM to make room, unless you’ve reached your phone’s storage limit.
⚠️ Avoid deleting your Orange Travel eSIM: once removed, it can’t be downloaded again. If you’re running out of space, delete an expired profile from another operator instead.
